El seminario Jairo Charris es un
evento anual organizado por la Universidad Sergio Arboleda. Está
dedicado a la memoria de Jairo Antonio Charris Castañeda
(1939-2003), uno de los padres de la investigación matemática
colombiana y antiguo profesor de nuestra universidad.

- Métodos
algebraicos en ecuaciones diferenciales y en diferencias.

The Jairo Charris Seminar is an
annual event organized by the Sergio Arboleda University. It is
dedicated to Jairo Antonio Charris Castañeda (1939-2003), who was
one of the fathers of the colombian mathematical research and
former professor of our university.

HOSTING
Sergio Arboleda University is a City University. It is situated
on 74th street, in the district of Lago, which is a nice part of the city,
between the historic center and the residential area of the
north.
The university complex is then surrounded of lots of restaurants
and coffe shops. There are several high and medium quality hotels which
are at walking distance from the university.
Invited speakers are going to be hosted at Metrotelroyalpark,
a high quality hotel wich is tituated just in front of university
main buildings.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS
If you want to contribute with a talk, please contact
the scientific comittee prior to May of 2009. Talks of JChS
are one hour long. We accept also poster contributions
to be presented at the conference.
REGISTRATION AND FEE
If you wish attend to the conference, please contact the organizing
comittee. The organizing comittee will contact you back.
Registration fee for the conference is 200.000 COP (100 US$), to be
canceled in the registration desk. We receive both US dollars and
Colombian pesos.
There is a reduced fee for students of 50.000 COP. If you need
finantial support, then contact the organizing comittee
in advance and we will study your case.
PROCEEDINGS VOLUMES
Proceeding volumes of 1st and 2nd JChS are now in way of publication
under AMS. Conferencists are encouraged to submit a paper to the 3rd
volume of the proceedings of the JChS.
NATIONAL CONGRESS
The week after the 3rdJChS is going to be held the XVII National
Congress of Mathematics in the city of Cali. Information
is avaliable at the site of Colombian Mathematical Society.
