From next August, the students from the International School of Administration and Marketing – EIAM will have access to one of the most prestigious private business schools in France and the world; there the option focuses on two emblematic cities: Paris or Lille.

This is IÉSEG School of Management of the Catholic University of Lille, which, according to a study of 2016 of the daily newspaper Financial Times, occupies the sixth place in France and the seventeenth in the world in the areas of administration and management.

This School has been awarded with the three most important international accreditations: Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business, AACSB; Association of MBA – AMBA, and the European Quality Improvement Systems, EQUIS, acknowledgements that certify it as a Triple Crown institution. It should be noted that only 1% of the world’s business schools are approved by these three associations.

The approach between IÉSEG and Sergio Arboleda University began six months ago. Luisa Godoy, Associate Dean for International Affairs of EIAM, says: “these two universities already shared similar objectives for the training of their students and their mutual cooperation comes from time ago. Both coincide in glimpsing the internationalization and the student mobility as one of the pillars for the development of the human being in a globalized world”.

This agreement is very important, she says, because IÉSEG is a world-class school offering its students a high-quality education. […] For this reason, it provides an appropriate profile for the Sergio Arboleda students, as it gives them the opportunity to look at other options abroad. Lille, a city close to the Belgian border, and Paris, Europe’s largest business center”, said the Associate Dean for International Affairs of EIAM.

An International Community

This is how this school is considered. Last year, for example, it received about 1,900 students from more than 95 different countries and, like La Sergio, it supports 100 percent the international dimension as a complement to the academic and integral training of the human being in a globalized world. That is why more than 80% of its students make at least one semester abroad.

Luisa Godoy ensures: “ this is a flexible institution that allows its students to take the subjects in English, hence the language requirement to apply to this exchange is English not French, as in other universities”. However, she emphasizes that for the visa process, students should keep in mind that the French Embassy requires a minimum level of French.

For the next five years, this academic agreement projects greater cooperation in terms of mobility of students, teachers, administrative staff, common projects and dual degree program, as well the development of conferences, publications and other activities, which help to strengthen this relationship. For now, in this first stage, the exchange of students between both schools of administration and business is already a fact.
