Sergio Arboleda University, through the Office of International Relations – ORI, expands the possibilities of students of Marketing and International Business to study abroad, thanks to a new agreement with Queensland University of Technology – QUT, an institution located in Brisbane, Australia.

From this semester, students of Marketing and International Business will have the opportunity to finish their studies in Australia, thanks to an agreement with Queensland University of Technology – QUT, an institution ranked in the position 18 of the QS Top 50 under 50, a ranking that measures the quality of universities with less than fifty years, and that has approximately 50,000 students.

Students who have completed seven semesters at La Sergio will be able to do the Bachelor of Business at QUT in order to obtain a double degree from both universities.

Another option is to do a master before obtaining the degree at Sergio Arboleda University. “After having completed eight semesters at the University, the students will be able to start this program that includes a study abroad semester, which aims students to adapt to the academic model, and then take the Master of Business, during one year”, said Laura Santana, Coordinator of the Office of International Relations.

Marketing and International Business students who chose one of these options will be guaranteed a high quality education, in addition to the balanced combination of theory and practice that will allow them to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to prosper in the world of work without problems.

This is mainly due to the fact that the business faculty, the largest in QUT, has a “triple crown”, that is that has accreditations from each main international accreditation agencies ( EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB).

“This is a distinction that only less than one percent of all business schools globally have achieved. This means that the QUT degree will be recognized in any country in the world”, says Patrick Hartney, QUT International Promotion Coordinator.

It is for the same reason that QUT recognizes the excellence of the students of La Sergio who have a minimum average of 4,25 and grants them the Triple Crown Scholarship, that is a scholarship to cover 25% of tuition fees.

To apply, students should have a good English language proficiency. The required score is 6.5 on the IELTS, with no skills below 6.0, or 90 on the TOEFL, in which all the skills should be above 20.

Those who know that they must improve their knowledge in this language will be able to present a free placement test, a quick exam that allows them to determine which is their level of proficiency.

Additionally, if the interested students don’t fully comply with the required scores, they have the opportunity to take an English course with special rates, directly at the QUT language center. Students who apply this semester will have a 60% discount on their English course.

The applications to study in one of the best universities in Australia will be received until May 11th at the Office of International Relations, located on the second floor of the Administrative Building.
