Sergio Arboleda University will be present in the Democracy Forum organized by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, thanks to the academic performance of Federico Mosquera Mateus, eight semester student of the Economy program, who, together with other 150 young people from different countries, will debate on good practices and ways of government of their places of origin.

“A factor present in almost all social processes is the economy. The economic state of a country is capable of leading to major social crisis, as well as facilitating the democratic development of their institutions. From this, which is my field of knowledge, I think that is important to analyze the events occurred in other countries, not only from the political view but also from an economic perspective to have a complete background”, said Federico Mosquera.

This forum, that will take place from December 5 to 6 of this year, will have as its main theme “Democracy and Inclusivity: Youth and Inclusive Digital Democracy”.

These activities “give us visibility and help us build a good reputation. In addition, it makes us active actors of a very large democratic process and, the most important, it allows La Sergio to pronounce itself in the international arena”, he said. The Sergista also said that this forum will allow him to learn from the democratic processes of other countries, in order to bring them to the national field.

Students who submitted to this call should demonstrate interest in international and democracy issues, be at least in fifth semester, have an excellent English proficiency, have a user in social networks and not have participated in any such forum.
